Abstract

Diaphragmatic hernia is a rare disease. And if the contents of hernia are intestines, the diagnosis is easy. But if those are great omentum or liver, discrimination from the thoracic tumor is difficult. We experienced a case of liver hernia protruded from the central tendon of the right diaphragm. A 6-year-old girl was admitted to our hospital for investigation of an abnormal shadow of the right lower lung filed, pointed out in the chest X-ray examination at school. We diagnosed as a congenital diaphragmatic hernia of the liver. We made a surgical correction and her postoperative course was uneventful.
