Abstract
Graded compression sonography has proven to be of significant clinical value in the assessment of patients with right lower quadrant pain and possible appendicitis [1-3]. Despite its proven utility, a number of imaging pitfalls must be kept in mind when sonograms of the right lower quadrant are interpreted. The purpose of this pictorial essay is to illustrate a number of important limitations and areas of interpretive difficulty in sonography for appendicitis.Entities:
