Abstract
We have reported a case of progressive dysphagia and complete esophageal occlusion due to a saccular aortic aneurysm. Aortic aneurysm should be an initial consideration in the differential diagnosis and investigation of dysphagia. Complete esophageal occlusion is a rare and late manifestation of a saccular thoracic aortic aneurysm and has been fatal in two of the three reported cases. Prompt preoperative diagnosis and aortic repair has not yet been reported.Entities:
