Partial scapulectomy for snapping scapula syndrome.

B J Morse1, N A Ebraheim, W T Jackson.

Abstract

Snapping scapula is a relatively uncommon source of scapular pain. A survey of the literature reveals a variety of causes of this syndrome. In the case presented here, the symptoms of this syndrome were immediately and permanently relieved by surgical excision of scapular abnormalities and part of the medial scapular border.
