P D Ekwere1, N W Ikpatt.

Abstract

Salmonella infection is a major health hazard in Africa and the Third World. Various modes of presentation continue to come to light, which are distinctly unusual. Hydronephrosis from typhoid abscess is one of these unusual presentations never before reported. We add this to the growing list of peculiar complications from a very common ailment endemic in Third World environments.
