Abstract
Patients with chronic severe anemia have a vasodilated state and hyperdynamic circulation. The cause of vasodilation in these patients is not known. We postulate that the low levels of hemoglobin in these patients results in reduced inhibition of basal EDRF activity leading to generalized vasodilation.Entities:
