Ethnobotanical drug discovery based on medicine men's trials in the African savanna: screening of east African plants for antimicrobial activity II.

Abstract

Antimicrobial activity of a number of East African plants was evaluated. The plants collected based on information provided by medicine men showed a much higher probability of finding active extracts than the plants collected randomly.
