Abstract
Hydrogen peroxide oxidizes glutathione and lipoïc, pyruvic and alpha-ketoglutaric acids in vitro. This work with Escherichia coli shows that the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvic acid by the peroxide in vivo takes into account its toxicity.Entities:
