Abstract
Strychnine poisoning is reported in a patient who was the victim of attempted homicide in his home and in a General hospital. The diagnosis proved to be an elusive one over five months. The question of a primary psychiatric diagnosis, raised by the patient's wife proved to be an attempt by her to cover her crime. Medico-legal issues relating to the management of attempted homicide in hospital are discussed.Entities:
