Abstract
Adolescence is often considered a nutritionally vulnerable period because of its characteristic rapid physical and psychological changes. Nutritional risks for both undernutrition and overnutrition are present and may be increased during physiologic stress such as athletics and pregnancy. Appropriate nutrition is important for maintaining optimal health and normal growth and development, as well as for preventing future chronic disease.Mesh:
