[Morphogenetic role of the trigeminal nerve. A new approach to facial architecture].

M Crocquet1, M Laude, G Thilloy.

Abstract

Trigeminal nerve acts a main part in morphogenesis and facial pattern. Its contribution to skeletal building and fibrous distribution according to those of different anatomo-functional matrixes allow a radiographic approach of the mesofacial morphology. Excluding anterior exofacial structures, the first statistical results lays the foundations of an accurate and promising architectural cephalometric analysis of mesofacial part.
