Abstract
The authors report a case of cutaneous infection caused by Mycobacterium kansasii in an immunocompetent woman. The mycobacterium was identified after a search for mycolic acids and the species-specific phenol-glycolipid K1. As minocycline followed by ciprofloxacin were ineffective, a conventional antituberculous treatment was prescribed and was fully successful.Entities:
