[Sitting posture after arthrodesis of the hip joint or lumbosacral fusion (author's transl)].

The sitting posture of persons with arthrodesis of the hip joint and with lumbosacral fusion are analyzed. It is shown that any disorder in the hip joint - pelvis - lumbar spine system results in a change of posture. In particular, a defective hip joint produces an unfavorable posture by folding over the lumbar spine. The effect of fusion of the lumbosacral area on sitting posture is less marked.
