Abstract
Inflamed cystadenolymphomas may mimic malignancies both clinically and cytologically. Inflammation-induced facial nerve paralysis, as a clinical sign, and atypical epithelial cells (arising from the inflamed cystic portion of the tumour), as a cytological marker of malignancy, are responsible for this false diagnosis. The diagnostic problems encountered are demonstrated by two case reports.Entities:
