Abstract
Only two cases of beta 2-microglobulin amyloid tumors involving the buttocks have been reported in the world literature. We report a case of bilateral buttock amyloid tumors with associated carpal tunnel syndrome and pathologic fracture involving the femoral head. This unusual local bilateral manifestation of the beta 2-microglobulin amyloidosis develops late in the course of hemodialysis and may be initiated by chronic trauma.Entities:
