Abstract
Chicken anaemia virus (CAV) is a small, unclassified virus involved in anaemia and suspected of causing immunosuppression in young chickens. We have developed an ELISA for the detection of serum antibody to CAV based on cloned antigen. The gene for ORF-3 (the putative capsid protein) was cloned, sequenced and expressed in a bacterial expression system, pGEX. An ORF-3 fusion protein was used to produce an indirect ELISA.Entities:
