Abstract
A safe and simple method for the dento-alveolar attendance of patients on coumarin derivative therapy is reported. It eliminates the need to interrupt anticoagulant administration, while a physiologic coagulation-active substance consisting of fibrin, thrombin, and the patient's venous blood is used for hemostasis. This easy-to-prepare substance was applied following 53 extractions, two alveolar corrections and one resection of the third molar, and excellent hemostasis was observed without the occurrence of a secondary hemorrhage.Entities:
