Abstract
Deep-seated lipomas can present with symptoms very different from those of the common subcutaneous variety. Rapid growth and nerve encroachment may cause suspicion of malignancy. The case histories as well as the clinical and radiographic findings of 2 patients with alarming symptoms from deep-seated lipomas of hand and forearm, respectively, are described. By means of CT an accurate preoperative diagnosis could be made, and surgery planned accordingly.Entities:
