Abstract
Recent advances in methods for introducing DNA into both fast- and slow-growing species of mycobacteria have stimulated the construction of a variety of cloning vectors and the development of a versatile genetic system. These tools will facilitate studies of mycobacterial pathogenicity, antibiotic action and drug resistance, and lead to more effective methods for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of mycobacterial diseases.Entities:
