Abstract
By electrophoresis, prealbumin is seen as a discrete band anodic to the albumin fraction. Cases of duplicate bands in the prealbumin region have been described previously in serum, cerebrospinal fluid, and urine, and have had an association with varied clinical entities. The authors describe a novel association of severe hepatic and renal failure with the presence of prominent duplicate prealbumin bands in urine.Entities:
