Abstract

Dentistry has long been identified with the bizarre or sadistic in books, movies and sitcoms. But how do dentists see themselves? How do patients view their dentists? Professional qualities of the ideal dentist, the surveyed dentist and the dentists of surveyed patients are discussed.
