Abstract
Chlamydia trachomatis is an important human pathogen that mediates disease processes capable of inflicting permanent damage. Aggressive inflammatory responses to repeated infections, and to a persistent form of this intracellular bacterium, are thought to initiate the pathogenic events that lead to the debilitating sequelae of blinding trachoma and infertility.Entities:
