Abstract
A method to cryopreserve semen from the Vervet monkey (Cercopithecus aethiops) has been developed, yielding a mean post thaw recovery of 63.60% of pre-freeze progressive motility. The extender contained a TES-TRIS buffer, egg yolk, dextrose, streptomycin, penicillin, and glycerol as cryoprotectant. The pH ranged from 7.10-7.18 and the osmolality was 330-345 mOsmol/L.Entities:
