Mites (ACARI) occurring on Geotrupes spiniger Marsh. and G. Stercorarius (L.) (Insecta, Scarabaeidae) in Poland.

Abstract

694 mites belonging to 16 species were collected from 67 specimens of G. spiniger and 2314 mites belonging to 17 species were collected from 118 specimens of G. stercorarius. The most common were the following species: Alliphis halleri, Macrocheles glaber, Scarabaspis inexpectatus and Scamaphis equestris. Macrocheles scutatus, Glyptholaspis americana and Parasitus consanguineus are new for the Polish fauna.
