How the family copes with spinal cord injury: a personal perspective.

N Lapham-Randlov.

Abstract

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is devastating both to the injured person and the person's family. Physical, social, emotional, and vocational implications have an impact on everyone in the family. Emergence from SCI is slow and painful, but it can also offer opportunities for personal growth and family coalescence.
