Abstract
A factorial study was made of ratings on 51 depressed female patients of IMPS items related to depression. Four separate depressive factors that involved: (1) loss of motivation and energy; (2) feelings of depression and hopelessness; (3) feelings of guilt and sin; and (4) retarded behavior were obtained. Neither the patient's age nor the endogenous-neurotic distinction appeared to be important. A comparison of these results with other factorial studies of depression was made.Entities:
