Abstract
The vitreous membrane obtained from a patient with Stickler syndrome, an 8 year-old female, was investigated electronmicroscopically. The cells found in the membrane had cilia, microvilli and cytoplasmic filaments. Gap junctions and basement membrane-like structures were also found. Several of the cells had phagosomes containing crystalline materials. Thus, these cells seemed to be glial cells.Entities:
