Interleukin-12 and its role in the generation of TH1 cells.

G Trinchieri1.

Abstract

Over the past few years a growing number of new cytokines have been discovered. Here, Giorgio Trinchieri reports on one of these, Interleukin 12, and discusses the significance of the many effects it has on the regulation of immunity and its importance to the generation of TH1 cells.
