Antibacterial activity of nitropyrroles, nitrothiphenes, and aminothiophenes in vitro.

Abstract

The antibacterial activities of nitropyrroles, nitrothiophenes, and aminothiophenes were studied. Replacement of the nitro group with an amino group enhanced the activity of the thiophene compounds.
