Abstract
The histochemical examination of bioptic samples of the human skin revealed the strikingly high activity of an acid-alpha-D-mannosidase in Langerhans cells. This enzyme is highly soluble and its activity "in situ" can be demonstrated practically only with the semipermable membrane technic. The significance of this finding is briefly discussed.Entities:
