Abstract
Human recombinant erythropoietin has been administered to 10 children with uremic anaemia in the course of renal failure. Children have been treated with repeated hemodialyses. During a 6-month follow-up, hematocrit and hemoglobin have been 30% and 9-10 g/dL, respectively. An increase in serum uric acid with a decrease in iron levels and transferrin saturation have been noted in all children. No serious adverse reactions have been seen.Entities:
