Abstract
A case of non-fatal massive bone marrow necrosis (MBMN) is reported in a patient with primary thrombocythaemia five years after diagnosis. No precipitating cause was identified. The patient developed postnecrotic myelofibrosis six months later. As far as is known, this is the first report of MBMN in a case of primary thrombocythaemia.Entities:
