Cost-effective health care: tools for improvement.

Abstract

As health care payors begin to shift financial risk and accountability onto the shoulders of the health care providers, it will become imperative for hospitals and physicians to improve and document efficiencies of care. This article will discuss the need for information analysis required to identify priorities for further study and make recommendations for the implementation of key tools for improvement that lead to efficiencies in the process and outcomes of care.
