Abstract
We report for the first time the detection of glycolipids in a lichen. Three glycolipids were extracted from Ramalina celastri and their carbohydrates were determined. The main component was O-alpha-D-galactopyranosyl-(1-->6)-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl-(1-->1)-D- glyceritol, esterified with long-chain fatty acids, some of which were unsaturated.Entities:
