Abstract
Head length, head breadth, bizygomatic diameter and morphological facial height were measured and cephalic and morphological facial indices were calculated in a sample (n = 8280) of first year students of the Technical University Budapest investigated between 1976-1985. The head length and the morphological facial height increased, while the head breadth and bizygomatic diameter decreased in the classes of the students during the investigated successive ten years. Thus the tendency to narrower head shape seems to be closely connected to the tendency of the face to be narrower in the sample.Mesh:
