Aseptic tenosynovitis of the flexor sheath due to a retained wooden splinter.

Abstract

A patient is described in whom a wooden splinter caused a fulminant tenosynovitis of the flexor tendon sheath. The diagnosis was confirmed by ultrasonography. Treatment consisted of extensive synovectomy.
