Abstract
The goal of this study is to propose conceptual and operational definitions of "state" and "trait", and a methodological approach to document empirically the state and trait aspects of a characteristic. An example using real data related to rapid eye movement latency for patients with major depressive disorder is presented to model the application of this method.Entities:
