Abstract
Type III collagen in normal human articular cartilage has been detected biochemically and its location in a diffuse area around the chondrocytes demonstrated by immunofluorescence. It can be found pericellularly throughout the depth of the cartilage and is evident in specimens ranging in age from 17 to 81 years.Entities:
