Abstract
Six non-atopic patients with respiratory infections to a variety of viruses demonstrated a consistent drop in IgE levels (35% to 87%) in the convalescent phase compared to the acute phase of infection, suggesting that the viral agent affects T lymphocytes to suppress and hence B lymphocytes to secrete IgE immunoglobulin.Entities:
