Abstract
DNA and phospholipids share a common motif recognizable by proteins. It has been my hypothesis that there are DNA binding proteins which interact with phospholipid membranes and that their activities in DNA replication, transcription, and recombination, are likely to be regulated by phospholipids. I describe here examples of replication-related proteins, the activities of which are modified by acidic phospholipids in vitro.Entities:
