Abstract
1253 serum samples of foxes were checked for the presence of Leptospira antibodies. 24 serum samples (1.92%) were positive. Leptospira grippotyphosa (10 samples) was the most common serotype, which ist also widespread in other wild and domestic animals. The possibility of distribution of Leptospira in fox populations are discussed. Leptospira antibodies were found in only 0.20% of the examined serum samples of domestic animals of the same territory (South-Thuringia).Entities:
