Abstract
Glucocorticoids are important in the management of rheumatic diseases. Bone loss is one of the most devastating side effects of glucocorticoids because they inhibit calcium transport, cause secondary hyperparathyroidism, hypogonadism, and impairment of osteoblast function. Efforts to control these side effects minimize bone loss.Entities:
