Abstract
A 30-year-old man underwent aortic and mitral valve replacement for the treatment of Q fever endocarditis. Postoperatively, paravalvular leak of the mitral prosthesis, progressive deterioration in cardiac function, and intractable heart failure developed. As a result, the patient underwent orthotopic heart transplantation 15 months after his initial valve operation. The patient is clinically well 14 months after transplantation.Entities:
