Abstract

We report a rare case of complication following transphenoidal resection of a nonfunctioning pituitary adenoma in which subarachnoid hemorrhage, midbrain hemorrhage and thalamic infarction occurred. Possible pathologic mechanisms are discussed and the need for clinical awareness of this rare complication is stressed.
