Abstract
Knowledge of the fundamental frequency of transverse vibrations of bones is of interest in bioengineering applications. The finite method is probably the best tool for the numerical determination of natural frequencies and mode shapes of any type of structural system. The present study proposes a simple approach based on the optimized Rayleigh-Ritz method which yields satisfactory answers for many practical applications.Mesh:
