Abstract
We describe a benign mammary mesenchymal tumour with atypical stromal giant cells in the contralateral breast of a 66-year-old woman with infiltrating ductal carcinoma. The clinical, morphological and immunohistochemical features of this tumour suggest a pleomorphic variant of fibrous histiocytoma. This benign lesion represents a possible pitfall in breast pathology when interpreting a frozen section or fine needle aspiration biopsy.Entities:
