[Genital brucellosis. A rare cause of testicular abscess].

J L Castillo Soria1, C Bravo de Rueda Accinelli.

Abstract

Brucella orchitis is a rare complication of this systemic disease. When it occurs, it severely affects the testis and can cause abscess, which was the presenting feature of the case described herein. The foregoing led us to suspect an unspecific cause. After the diagnosis was made, a double drug therapy was administered; however, orchiectomy was performed on observing complete destruction of the testis.
