Abstract
We describe a patient with left parietotemporal hemorrhage with selective acalculia for addition, multiplication, and division, but with an intact ability to subtract. There was no impairment in the ability to distinguish mathematical signs. This case suggests that different processing systems are responsible for each of the basic arithmetic operations.Entities:
