Abstract
The integrins are a family of transmembrane heterodimeric adhesion molecules that play important roles in wound healing, immune system function and organ development. Recent studies indicate that adhesion of integrins to their ligands is not constitutive but is dynamically regulated by intracellular signal transduction pathways.Mesh:
