Abstract
A biopsy of a fifth lumbar vertebral lesion confirmed that an intracranial meningioma had metastasized 12 years after the diagnosis of the primary tumour. A literature review reports 25 cases of extracranial osseous metastases from meningioma. The mechanisms of spread are discussed as is the role of surgery in the seeding of such tumours.Entities:
